Work Day Weekend

We were so lucky to be able to escape the heat on labor day weekend. We started off in Greer hanging out with Scott's sister and her family. Scott & Ryan spent the day working while Krista and I hung out with the kids. It started raining in the afternoon which put me in a baking mood. I think it was partly because in the mountains it doesn't make you cry to turn on the oven. Later that day Scott's brothers drove up with their families. It was fun hanging out and playing games.

The next day there was a little more work to be done and then we enjoyed a delicious bbq. Then we drove down to Pinetop. We ate lots of yummy food and played more games. It was fun to go to church with everyone and hear my grandma bare her testimony. My grandparents will be serving their 3rd mission in October! They are going to Cove Fort in St. George, Utah. This has special meaning to our family because Ira Hinckley, who built Cove Fort, is our 3rd great-grandfather!

Before heading home on Monday we had a Pickleball tournament. Scott's team were the winners! It was a great trip and we were sad to come home to my cooking and the heat.

"Couslets" with G & G. Jackson, Ginger, and Benson.
Bonding with Kyle. We miss him while he's away at school!
