Day Twenty Six: A Childhood Memory

We loooved to play with the video camera. We spent many cousin sleepovers playing Rescue 911. We would fall down the stairs and get squished by big bouncy exercise balls, or fall into the pool. Then of course there were cooking shows where we would make "creations" aka messes and mix things together without recipes.

Fast forward a few years and my friends and I also loved to make movies. We would reinact Dixie Chicks music videos and have fashion shows. They are some of the most hilarious videos to watch.

Recently my mom got all of our home videos put onto DVD's and we have had fun watching them. It's funny to see how much we have changed, and at the same time how much we haven't. Some classic lines from family videos.

Setting: old house, kitchen, dying Easter eggs
My mom is holding baby Travis on her lap and Nicole, Kyle, and I are sitting at the table.
Nicole is finished waiting for her egg to color and says, "Should I stick my hand in it, mom?"

Setting: Sunday afternoon
Kyle: It looks as though there has been a fatal crash
(in comes Barbie in her convertible full speed ahead and crashes into the kitchen counter)

Setting: Sunday afternoon
Jill: Be careful not to wake the sleeping beast!
(Camera pans over to my dad sleeping on the couch.)
